We believe that learning is optimized when the natural tendencies of the child are actively engaged. In turn, we can provide meaningful opportunities to help students process their "NEXT LEVEL" dreams into their reality. All it takes is a shift in mindset, and success is inevitable.
Our 2020 TeachThemYoungER Athletic Fund "team scholarship" recipients had a different roadblock than normal summer basketball teams. Instead of competing against other teams, most of the summer they competed against COVID-19 and shutdowns. The planned season’s activities took a different direction. They trained harder, spent time developing new aspects of their conditioning and physical fitness.
We rewarded the TTYHOOPS Club by covering various expenses on their trips to Tampa to compete safely against different competition. They were unable to compete in the larger AAU tournaments but they did fulfill dreams of playing this summer.

Our 2019 TeachThemYoungER Athletic Fund "team scholarship" recipients and their trip to Tennessee in July 2019. The Florida Suns 9th grade travel team earned an all-expense-paid trip to participate in an AAU tournament in Gatlinburg, Tn.
During the five day trip, they competed in a tournament and placed 3rd. The team was also treated to private college visits that included college tours and visits with athletic staff members. The group visited Carson–Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, as well as Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee. Where they met with Men's Head Basketball Coach, Raul Placeres, he has most of the boys "…on his radar now". The experience allowed this team not only to play basketball but to visit universities, experience a college tour, bond with activities outside of the gym, and enjoy Tennessee.
