TeachThemYoungER Athletics offers fresh perspectives and owns a relentless drive to help others succeed. We are an innovative and progressive athletic program that offers academic and enrichment activities to prepare each child with the tools needed to succeed at their own "NEXT LEVEL." Utilizing sports as a vehicle for students' positive development using learned values like Mindfulness, Exceptionalism, Responsibility, Integrity, Teamwork, and Sportsmanship.
We prioritize teaching over the competition in our developmental programs, which are open to both girls and boys. From the youth athlete trying to make the team to the high school athlete working to compete at the next level, our flexible youth athletic training program will complement school and team commitments.
We use a four-step teaching process:
Our athletes will possess good quality of movement with proper posture. When performing any drill, we encourage our athletes to think about the purpose of the drill and how to perform it as efficiently as possible.
A mixture of Plyometric and bodyweight core strength exercises. Our sessions are a pillar for the upper and lower half of the body to operate upon. We focus on unique exercises that activate core muscles and strengthen this integral part of the athlete. While ensuring we compete in short bursts of energy and quick lateral movements.
We will work to improve footwork skills as well as improve cardiorespiratory stamina for our program participants with an emphasis on building a training foundation. Explosion training combines strength and speed to increase your power output. Explosive power drills to generate a quick burst of maximal effort. This type of training is helpful for sports including football, track and field sports, soccer, and even basketball. Exercises used to build quick, explosive power are movements that require a maximum or near-maximum power output from the athlete in a short amount of time.
We utilize this style of training for all the sports we support. Currently, we train basketball, football, and track & field. We're happy to announce adding volleyball and soccer/futsal in the near future as well.
This is an opportunity to participate in technical athletic skill development to increase their basketball IQ. Once we teach the footwork, body positioning, and pace associated with a particular “move,” we now need to demonstrate how to use the move. To do that, we have to put them up against another player, so small-sided games (2v2, 3v3, 4v4) will be introduced during skill development. Our goals for the program would be for players to:
* Learn the elements relating to athletic technique.
* Develop balance, mobility, and speed.
* Develop overall coordination.
Opportunities to participate in trips to colleges within the State of Florida as well as other areas of the country during the summer travel season. A group of students along with coaches travel to tour college campuses, meet with admission representatives and students to learn about majors, special programs, deadline dates, student clubs, and overall college life during their free time away from playing in tournaments or showcases.
We are an AAU sanctioned Club for all our athletic activities. Each program participant will be registered as an insured AAU athlete. And our organization will periodically create teams to complete GLOBALLY in AAU events. Currently, we field Boys and Girls Basketball and Track & Field teams to travel.
